Lazarus Posen witwe

Posen's, one of Germany's largest manufacturing silversmiths in the late 19th/early 20th Century period, was established in Frankfurt by Brendina (née Wetzlar), widow of Lazarus Posen, a retail silversmith of Polish descent. The firm made large quantities of ornamental silver and flatware as well as Judaica. In 1880 Mrs Posen was joined in the running of the business by her son, Jacob L. Posen who, by about 1910, was succeeded by his sons Jacob, Hermann and Moritz.
